Shipping Container Jack & Wheel Set — New
Move and position shipping containers in your yard without a crane or forklift. This shipping container jack and wheel set includes 2 x hydraulic hand jacks and 2 x container wheels — giving you full manual control over container movement and precise placement on any flat surface.
Furthermore, the set handles containers up to 5 metric tons — covering standard empty 20ft containers and lightly loaded units. As a result, it suits container yard operators, depot managers, and site teams who need to reposition containers regularly without heavy machinery on standby.
Moreover, the compact kit ships as a single set and stores inside the container when not in use. Therefore, it travels with the container to every site — always on hand when repositioning is required.

How A Shipping Container Jack and Wheel Set Works
Step 1 — Position the Jacks
Place one hydraulic hand jack under each end of the container at the base rail. Furthermore, ensure the jack contact points are positioned on a structurally sound section of the container base.
Step 2 — Lift the Container
Pump each hand jack to raise the container clear of the ground. Moreover, lift only enough to create clearance for the wheel sets to slide underneath — typically 50–100mm.
Step 3 — Insert the Wheels
Slide one container wheel under each lifted end. As a result, the container sits on the wheel set and is free to roll in any direction.
Step 4 — Lower and Roll
Release the jack pressure to lower the container onto the wheels. Additionally, the container now rolls freely — push or tow it into the required position by hand or with a tow vehicle.
Step 5 — Final Positioning
Once in position, jack the container back up, remove the wheels, and lower it onto its final resting point. Therefore, the container sits level and stable without the wheels underneath.
Shipping Container Jack and Wheel Set Applications
Container Yard and Depot Management
Yard operators reposition empty containers between storage rows without calling in a forklift or reach stacker. Furthermore, the manual kit reduces machinery hire costs and gives yard staff independent repositioning capability.
Site Delivery and Placement
After delivery, fine-tune the container’s final position on site without reversing a truck or hiring a crane. Moreover, precise placement is critical for site offices, accommodation containers, and storage units that must align with existing structures or access points.
Container Maintenance and Inspection
Move containers clear of structures or other units to access all sides for inspection and maintenance. As a result, undercarriage checks, door seal replacements, and repainting work can be completed without specialist lifting equipment.
Remote and Off-Grid Sites
Sites without reliable access to forklifts, reach stackers, or cranes rely on manual repositioning kits for container management. Therefore, this set is essential equipment for remote mining, agricultural, and construction operations that move containers regularly.
