Shipping & Delivery Policy
Australia Shipping Container Stands (ABN 18 637 745 290) delivers new and used shipping containers, modified units, and portable buildings Australia-wide from our depot at 17 Kleinhans Ct, Lowood QLD 4311. This policy explains our handling times, transit windows, delivery costs, and site access requirements so you know exactly what to expect before you order.
1. Handling & Dispatch Time
Orders are processed and scheduled for dispatch within 1–3 business days of cleared payment. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding Queensland public holidays.
- Standard containers (in-stock): dispatched within 1–3 business days of payment clearance.
- Container pools: allow 7–14 business days for preparation prior to dispatch.
- Custom and modified units: allow 14–21 business days for fabrication prior to dispatch. Your confirmed build timeline is stated on your quote or contract.
You will receive an order confirmation by email once payment has cleared, followed by a delivery scheduling call.
2. Transit & Delivery Times
Standard delivery transit windows after dispatch:
| Destination | Estimated Transit Time |
|---|---|
| South East Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba) | 5–7 business days |
| Regional QLD & NSW | 5–7 business days |
| VIC, SA, ACT | 5–7 business days |
| WA, TAS, NT | 5–7 business days (remote areas may require additional time — confirmed at booking) |
Delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by weather, road conditions, or carrier availability. If your delivery is delayed, we will contact you by phone or email with an updated schedule.
3. Shipping Costs
All delivery costs are disclosed before payment. There are no hidden fees at checkout.
- Flat-rate delivery: $450 (inc. GST) applies to standard delivery within our serviced areas Australia-wide.
- HIAB / crane truck delivery: quoted per job at $5.90–$6.50 per kilometre from our Lowood QLD depot, confirmed in writing before you pay.
- Remote or non-standard sites: if your location falls outside standard service areas, we will provide an exact written delivery quote before you commit to the order.
The total delivery fee applicable to your order is shown at checkout or on your written quote before payment is taken.
4. Delivery Methods & Site Access Requirements
Containers are delivered by tilt-tray or side-loader truck. To complete delivery safely, your site must meet the following conditions:
- Overhead clearance: minimum 6 metres, free of powerlines, tree branches, awnings, and other obstructions.
- Ground conditions: firm, level ground capable of supporting a heavy vehicle and the container.
- Access: sufficient turning room and straight-line access for a truck and trailer combination (typically 25–30 metres of clear run for tilt-tray placement).
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the delivery site is accessible and safe. If our driver arrives and the site cannot be accessed safely, a failed delivery or redelivery fee may apply (see our Terms of Service). If you are unsure whether your site is suitable, contact us before ordering and we will help you assess access.
5. Tracking, Scheduling & Dispatch Updates
Because containers are delivered by dedicated heavy vehicle rather than parcel courier, we do not use automated parcel tracking. Instead:
- You receive an order confirmation email once payment clears.
- Our team contacts you by phone or email to book a confirmed delivery date and time window.
- Our driver or dispatch team will contact you on the day of delivery to confirm arrival.
Someone over 18 must be present at delivery (or provide written placement instructions in advance) to direct final positioning of the unit.
