45ft Used Shipping Container — Wind & Watertight (Ref 2575)
A 45ft used wind & watertight container — structurally sound, weatherproof, and CSC certified for lifting and site placement. The extra 5 feet of length over a standard 40ft gives ~10% more internal floor area for the same 9’6″ high cube profile, suiting operators who need maximum on-site storage per delivered footprint. Cor-Ten steel body, 28 mm marine plywood floor, double swing cargo doors with factory-fitted lockbox. Built to ISO 668 Series 1 dimensional standards.
Note: 45ft containers are High Cube by default — 9’6″ external height (2,896 mm), 8’10” internal (2,698 mm). Standard-height 45ft containers are not commonly manufactured for the international freight market.

Why a 45ft Instead of a 40ft
The 45ft high cube offers ~10% more internal length than a 40ft high cube in the same standard container width and height. For operators storing pallets or fabricated components at length, that extra 1,524 mm of internal length can fit additional pallet rows or longer stock without stepping up to a specialty container. Delivery cost per m² of floor is lower than a 40ft, since the truck movement is nearly identical.
Compared with joining two 20ft or 30ft units, a single 45ft delivers a continuous storage envelope with no join, no doubled corner casting mass, and a single crane placement.
Applications
- Farm and rural storage — machinery, feed, harvested crop overflow
- On-site tool, equipment, and materials storage for construction and infrastructure operators
- Warehouse and yard overflow — long-form stock storage
- Household contents storage during major renovations, downsizing, or moves
- Modification base — office, workshop, or specialty container builds where extra internal length matters
Condition Notes for Used WWT
Wind & Watertight condition confirms the container’s structural integrity — walls, roof, floor, and doors sealed against wind and water — but does not guarantee cosmetic appearance. Expect surface rust, dents, and faded original paint carrying the previous shipping line’s livery. These are normal after years of ocean service and do not affect the container’s ability to keep dry goods secure.
