40ft Shipping Container Racking Kit — Single Bay 3-Tier
Make full use of your 40ft container’s interior. This single bay, three-tier steel racking kit is purpose-built for standard 40ft ISO container side walls. Furthermore, up to five bays fit per side — giving you a complete floor-to-ceiling storage system.
Each kit covers one side of the container. Order two kits to rack both sides. In addition, the end wall of a 40ft container provides enough clearance for racking. Therefore, pair this kit with our three-tier racking for the rear of container to maximise every square metre.
All steel components are powder coated in blue and orange for a tough, scratch-resistant finish. Each 25mm chipboard shelf supports up to 550kg of evenly distributed load.

40ft Container Racking Layout — Bays Per Position
A standard 40ft container accommodates up to five racking bays per side wall. As a result, a fully racked 40ft container holds up to 10 side-wall bays plus an additional rear-wall bay.

Assembly Overview
The end frames arrive pre-assembled. Therefore, on-site setup is fast with no specialist tools required.
Step 1 — Position the End Frames
Stand both end frames upright along the container side wall. Space them 2250mm apart.
Step 2 — Slot in the Beams
Slot two beams per tier into the corresponding height holes on each end frame. Furthermore, repeat for all three shelf levels.
Step 3 — Attach Safety Clips
Clip the safety clips onto each beam end. As a result, the beams are locked and cannot dislodge under load.
Step 4 — Lay the Chipboard Shelves
Place the 25mm chipboard panels onto each beam pair. The shelves sit flat and are ready to load immediately.
How Many Kits Do I Need?
This kit covers one side of the container with a single 2250mm bay. Order two kits to start both side walls. Additionally, order up to 10 kits total to fully rack all five bay positions on both sides. For complete coverage, add our rear-of-container racking kit for the end wall.
